Research Focus

The Work

“The world depends on communication systems it cannot see — and therefore we must make them resilient.”

Mobile Ad-hoc Networks

Link stability, routing overhead reduction, and delay minimization in self-configuring wireless networks.

Wireless Sensor Networks

Energy-efficient protocols and fault-tolerant communication for distributed sensing infrastructure.

Distributed Systems

Resilient architecture design for decentralized networks operating without fixed infrastructure.

Dr. Nismon Rio R is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. He has held this position since 2019. Dr. Nismon earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Bishop Heber College, affiliated with Bharathidasan University. His research received financial support from the University Grants Commission (UGC). His research areas include route optimization in wireless networks, Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, and the Internet of Things. He has published and presented numerous papers in national and international forums. Dr. Nismon holds eight Indian patents related to communication technologies. He has also delivered technical lectures and conducted workshops in various institutions. In 2022-2023, he received a minor project grant from the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Currently, Dr. Nismon is exploring the potential of emerging technologies like drones. His research focuses on applications in environmental monitoring and emergency response, and integrating AI and machine learning.
